Connection Networks
Equinix’s employee resource groups, known as our Equinix Employee Connection Networks (EECNs), are internal community groups open to all employees and are formed around an identity that is historically marginalized or shares unique challenges. They enhance employees' experiences, foster inclusion, promote cultural awareness and strengthen the business.
One of the most sustainable modes of inspiring connection within local communities and attracting talent is through our nine Equinix Employee Connection Networks. They are integral to how we do business.
WeAreEquinix Teams
Equinix recognizes that creating the best workplace and culture requires a global effort with localized approaches. In 2020, we launched “WeAreEquinix” (WRE) teams to create and promote purpose, belonging, service, sustainability and fun for their locations across the world. They also provide Equinix with a more holistic view into the unique happenings across our global business and help build culture and community, locally.
WeAreEquinix is a mechanism for employees to take leadership roles at their local sites and to support a workplace where employees can say, “I’m safe, I belong, and I matter.” With over 450 volunteers, WeAreEquinix groups proudly support teams in 38 locations.
Community Impact
As the world’s digital infrastructure company™, we recognize the critical role we play in connecting our communities and those most in need to the opportunities of the digital world. We support our employees to give back to the causes they care most about. We also respond to pressing local and global issues through our Employee Matching Gifts Program, the Equinix Employee Relief Fund, Crisis Response donation campaigns, and other volunteer initiatives, which are all funded by the Equinix Foundation.
Our employees are the lifeblood of our company, and our biggest and best point of community impact begins with them. The employee-led Equinix Community Impact Program empowers our workforce to give back to their communities through service and donations, supported by our volunteer and employee donation matching programs.

Our business is only as successful as our employees’ ability to serve each other, our customers and the communities in which we live and operate. Wellbeing is not just a program; we strive to design wellbeing into our ways of working. Our wellbeing initiatives help strengthen our employees’ mental resilience, while providing a space where everyone can safely and dependably access the resources they seek. Growth and Development
Equinix encourages, empowers, and recognizes employees for trying new and better ways of doing things, regardless of their role or background.
Our employees have access to LinkedIn Learning to broaden their skillsets and delve into new interests. In 2022, over 7,000 global Equinix employees used their LinkedIn Learning access to develop new skills. We also have a robust performance review process to ensure all employees have the chance to champion their own growth and development with their managers.
We also team up with diversity partners to expand access to hiring opportunities for historically marginalized communities. Equinix is passionate about bringing our resources and opportunities to folks in these communities, in addition to providing them with visibility into a workplace that values diversity and belonging.
